Gilbertson Feed & Grain, Inc. is a locally owned company founded in 1983 by Doug Gilbertson. The first location was in Randolph, MN. Now the company has grown to four locations. GF&G purchased Nerstrand in 2005, greatly expanding its grain storage capacity and stepping into multi-faceted agronomy offerings. More capacity was again added in 2006 when the company purchased Feely’s in Farmington. The addition of Cannon Falls in 2011 enhanced access for easier bulk delivery because the close proximity to the UP railroad where bulk liquid fertilizer and many other products are unloaded. Cannon Falls has bulk fertilizer storage capacity of 500,000 gallons. Byron aquisition in 2018 added more grain capacity and allows better service for the southern customers. The Randolph location was sold in December 2019 and Feely’s in 2021. GF&G now has more than 1.3 million bushel grain storage capacity.
GF&G’s mission is to provide the knowledge and services to plant the seeds of success to help our farmers succeed. This is done by having knowledgeable people, a wide variety of products, technically advanced equipment, and the latest technical knowledge.
In fulfilling our mission, one important aspect is investing in future local farmers. GF&G generously supports many local 4H and FFA programs. It has also supported the Nerstrand Elementary Eagle Open since its inception.
